This year at FACETS we will sing, conduct, and talk about a variety of topics that are significant to women in the choral conducting profession. Our focus this year will be on "Being The Best... or Being Your Best Self". Join us for conducting master classes, reading sessions, music-making, leadership, conversation, reflection, and growth together.

Additionally, Composer Jocelyn Hagen will be a new partner with Facets this year, as Graphite Publishing (headed by Jocelyn and her husband Tim Takach) sponsor our reading sessions.

In addition, Jocelyn has asked us to record some pieces that will be featured on their webstie. We've been exploring ways to do more singing at Facets, and this is going to be an amazing way to accomplish this!

For those who register to participate, scores will be sent in advance so you can prepare. We will devote some of our conference time to rehearsal and recording these pieces, which will then be featured on the Graphite website. 

​

In addition, Jocelyn is going to Zoom in to our retreat to talk with us about professional mentoring. She has a particular initiative called Composer Like a Girl, which is a great parallel with what we do at Facets.
